Everything shuts down over the bank holidays here
so we spent a quiet Good Friday, the Grand Parents soaking up life on Takapuna Beach.
Due to the storms the beach was brimming with life of creatures washed up on shore, from slightly freaky scallop shells snapping their shells closed, to sea squirts, hermit crabs and gazillions of star fish.
So here commenced the 'Neen wild life conservation project', mission - to return all the beached creatures back to the depths of the water.
