8th Jan - Yeah - we've finally moved into our apartment. Takapuna Motor Lodge was a fab little friendly base for our first week in Takapuna but I have to say it's so good to finally get to unpack and put an end to living out of a suitcase.
Our apartment seems to be the perfect place for us, nice and central, so close to the shops, restaurants, beach, school and 5 minutes away from North Shore Hospital where Dan works. On the downside there is no garden so have a feeling I'll be getting some greenery withdrawal symptoms (I do love my garden). Saying that on the upside it's got a pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, and outdoor bbq area and more importantly it's low maintenance which means we can get out and about and see all the lovely things New Zealand has to offer at the weekends... so all in all a great little spot.

That evening we strolled out into Takapuna for a little celebration meal and stopped off at Aubergine restaurant. OMG the food was so yum - washed down with a glass of champers, the perfect little way to start our stint as residents of Takapuna.
