Handing on the Baton

On Sunday afternoon we met up with the lovely Isaac family. They are coming to the end of their fellowship stint out in Takapuna and are passing the baton onto us. I do feel we are stepping into their shoes and they've been really happy here in Takapuna. We spent the afternoon together getting the lowdown of all the hints and tips over an ice-cream on the beach; Fredrick talking to Dan about the job, and Pernilla to me about mum things - school, where to shop, best places for coffee - you know fundamental mum things etc. We also went back to their (ours-to-be) apartment, and bought their car off them (yes we really are stepping into their shoes).

They are off spending their last few weeks camper vaning round the South Island (so jealous), before heading back to their home in Sweden. A truly lovely family and guys if you ever read this and are over in the UK you must look us up!

We then moseyed back to Takapuna Motor Lodge for a little afternoon play in the pool....

Where a little someone's wobbly tooth that has been hanging on in there forever finally decided to make an exit...

But forever the foodie, it didn't hinder him digging into our 18 inch pizza at Sal's pizza restaurant..so bad for you... but oh so good!
